Author Bio: Part 1 – Contact Details

      About the Author

When sending your author bio by email, send a pdf version, and name your filename with your name, not “AuthorBio.pdf” – it could get lost! Write in the third person, as if someone has prepared it with you.

Make it as easy as possible for people to contact you, and provide as many details as possible. It’s important that these details are kept up to date. However, only share contact methods that you actively check regularly. Don’t feel a need to pack this with every social media and contact method known to mankind. If messages go unanswered, it won’t help you.

Avoid Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail or AOL email addresses, or those that include the name of your internet provider. Brand yourself with an email address that includes your domain name. Anything else looks unprofessional.
