If you are self-publishing a print edition your book cover will need a barcode.
Many online retail outlets won’t accept books without an ISBN and barcode as it won’t scan through their systems. Also, if you intend selling through bookshops a RRP and barcode will invariably be required so they can scan it into stock, and it won’t need manual pricing.
Barcodes are included in our full wrap cover design service, and all publishing packages as standard, this service is for authors who are self-publishing or using a cover designer that doesn’t handle barcode generation.
We will require from you:
- The ISBN you have allocated to each edition
- The RRP cover price you intend showing and the currency (optional)
- JPG file of an industry-standard barcode
- Secondary pricing barcode is optional
